1:00 PM: The tour guide pick-up on District 1
Enjoy a convenient hotel pick up at from your guide as you depart for Cu Chi. Along the way, watch as the city scenery transitions to a more peaceful, rural setting. Witness passing rice paddy farms, quaint roadside vendors, and increasingly lush greenery.
We arrive at Cu Chi tunnels where you will: watch a short documentary film that takes you to the past with an introduction of the Cu Chi Tunnels - crawl distances through the tunnels that were used by the guerrilla fighters during the Vietnam War. You may see a kitchen, living quarters, and a meeting room on the way. Learn about how different types of traps were created and set up. Visit the weapons room and learn how the ingenious Viet Cong soldiers made them. Step in the shoes of a Viet Cong fighter, as you climb through an impressive 155-mile (250-km) long tunnel network and visit a typical gun shooting area.Some of the most famous underground networks of pathways, hideouts, sleeping quarters, meeting rooms, hospitals, and Hoang Cam Stove, having tapioca – the main food served during the war time.
