1. Transportation :

*** There are some good and reliable taxi companies, run by meters, so don’t   worry about the scam ones.

*** If you get taxi by yourselves, please take a photo of taxi with number plate and brand name’s, in case the driver gets over-charged, we will help you to report to taxi operator.

Price: ~ 13.000vnd/ 1 km (~ 0,6usd/ 1km  )

Taxi brand: Group taxi (Hanoi Tourist) (white)/  Mai Linh taxi (green/ white)/ G7 Taxi (white and grey)

Please ask the reception to help you arrange the taxi when you need.

2. Currency and safety:

*** Local money is called “Vietnam DONG” , with many number “0”, so please pay attention to that and the note color.

*** The best place to exchange money is at the bank, otherwise, you can take cash from ATM machines, or do the exchange at the reception.

*** We have a safety-box availably inside your room, please remember DO NOT take all important documents with you when you go outside (especially your passports, tickets, all of money…). Please set the password by yourselves for the safety box.

*** When you walk around or go to the night market, you should be careful with your belonging items, because there are many pick pocket guys on the streets.

3. Restaurants and shopping :

Shopping:

*** You can bargain from 10% to 30% when you go shopping at some shops.

Restaurant:

***Please pay attention to the net prices to avoid some additional fees.

*** Check the menu and price before you try any food.

4. Culture:

There are many Pagodas and museums, Mausoleum in Hanoi which require formal clothes to visit inside.

5. Scam travel agencies:

There are many travel agencies around, but please alert with the price and the quality of the services they offer to avoid being over-charged, or not good quality as they promised.

6. Traffic:

***Popular transportations: by walking, taking taxi or cyclo (contact reception if you need)

***Please be careful with the traffic light when you cross the road

7. We have a 24-hour-reception-service, but for safe reasons, please do not come back hotel too late (before 11h30 pm,).
